Are you willing to contribute as a Senior Editor of the IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Sensors?

Appointments to the Senior Editor of the IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Sensors (IEEE JSAS) are made by the Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Senior Editors and advisory board. Candidates are considered for appointment upon nomination by Chief Editor, Associate Chief Editor or (not of) Senior editor. Self-nominations by candidates would normally be sent to the Chief Editor, Associate Chief Editor of Senior Editor who is closest to their field of expertise. The nomination will be in the form of the candidate’s short CV, emphasizing their research proficiency and editorial experience, together with the current editorial expertise grid filled in by the candidate.

Below is a table, presented as a check-list, with the main essential and desirable skills for contributing as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Sensors Letters.

Essential experience and skills

1. To have published a considerable number of sensors-related papers in IEEE JSAS and in other IEEE sensor-related publications (IEEE Sensors Journal, IEEE Sensors Letters).
2. To have their main research activity in at least one of the Journal’s Areas.
3. To have been a reviewer for the IEEE Sensors-related journals or other journals in the field of sensors and completed reviews in a timely manner

Desired experience and skills

4. To Have Previous or Current Experience as an Associate Editor, Guest Editor, Topical Editor, Associate Editor-in-Chief, or Editor-in-Chief of a Scientific or Engineering Periodical Journal. Please do not apply If You Lack This Experience.
5. To have supervised PhD and Masters students, or a research team, on sensors topics
6. To show strong commitment to the success of IEEE JSAS
7. Motivation to improve the productivity and quality of IEEE JSAS
